IT Support Engineer

Configuring and installing hardware and software is second nature to Credit Karma's IT Support Engineers. They maintain equipment inventory, install software, troubleshoot problems for end users, configure equipment and software and lend a helping hand to the system administrators. They are Credit Karma's internal IT ‘go-to’ for our new hire onboarding as well, answering questions like, “How do I change my password on this program?” or, “Why is my computer not printing?” This position requires a diverse skill set, as the responsibilities will evolve depending on our needs. Besides providing an exceptional support and onboarding experience, you will have the exciting opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills as part of a fast-paced, growing company.

What the Job Entails

  • Help desk and desktop support
  • On board new hires from creating their accounts to handing over the equipment
  • Track hardware/software inventory
  • Work on projects like phone system rollout, computer imaging and SSO
  • Coordinate with external vendors to get equipment serviced
  • Install and repair hardware/software on desktops and laptops
  • Configure hardware and software
  • Provide support and assistance to System Administration
  • Knowledge of Windows 7/8 and Mac OS X
  • Basic knowledge in server computing, networking, phone setup/support and business applications

Our Ideal Candidate

  • BS Degree in Computer Science or similar technical field
  • At least 2+ years of experience providing IT troubleshooting support
  • Self-starter, able to jump in and operate with minimal guidance
  • Great communicator – You will be working with all departments
