Director, Recommendation System Analytics

We’re looking for a highly quantitative leader to lead a world-class team of data scientists and analysts and drive continuous improvement of our product recommendations. In this high-impact, high-visibility role, you will work closely with senior leaders across the company to tackle tough challenges on a complex, large-scale ecosystem. What you’ll do:

  • Develop a rigorous methodology to evaluate our recommendations on an ongoing basis
  • Develop deep understanding of the entire ecosystem, including supply-demand dynamics, system risk and key performance drivers
  • Articulate the insight and finding to key stakeholders about how to achieve system optimality
  • Drive product and engineering decisions to get to best-in-class recommendation
  • Build and grow a high performing analytics team
  • Execute and enforce partner stability needs, budget constraint and system anomaly detection

What we expect:

  • Degree in quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering) and/or 7-10 years relevant work experience required
  • Strong leader who has built and mentored high-performing marketing analytics teams
  • Experience with building statistical models highly preferred
  • Experience partnering with data science and analysis of very large, complex sets of data
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in a startup environment, moving quickly and handling changing priorities
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively with business leaders
