Director, Pricing & Deal Management


Credit Karma is working to make financial progress possible for everyone. Data and analytics play a pivotal role in this mission and every part of our business – informing new product design, driving marketing efficiency, and powering the recommendations we personalize to each of our 60 million members.
 
We’re seeking an analytically grounded business leader to manage and build a pricing and deal management function within the organization.  In this role, you will create the framework that the organization will use to price our advertising inventory.  Additionally, you will create internal processes that will ensure consistent delivery of advertising commitments to Credit Karma’s partners.  You’ll build this function first in our largest vertical, Credit Cards, and then scale it to other parts of the business (Personal Loans, Auto Loans, Mortgage, etc).  This role has high-visibility to senior leaders and will contribute meaningfully to Credit Karma’s revenue growth.
 
You’ll work directly with our Chief Revenue Officer, Head of Credit Card Partnerships, GM of Credit Cards and other senior leaders across the organization to build out and implement this new functional area for Credit Karma.  You’ll also identify and secure resources you’ll need to make this new function best-in-class.  And you’ll do all of this within a high-growth technology company whose mission is making financial progress possible for everyone.

  • Leverage internal and external data to build a pricing framework that’s scalable to all of our businesses
  • Working cross-functionally across departments with the company’s most senior leaders
  • Improve business outcomes and identify opportunities for growth or improvement
  • Thoughtfully considering our partners’ needs, so that our pricing framework is sustainable and leads to successful outcomes for our partners and Credit Karma
  • Synthesizing complex ideas to senior audiences and the ability to translate directional feedback into tangible next steps and outputs

Our ideal candidate

  • Experience building and mentoring high performing analytics teams & proficient in pulling and manipulating data yourself with tools like SQL, R, SAS, Big Query and Python
  • Executive presence with the ability to succinctly, confidently and articulately defend and challenge positions in both verbal and written communications   
  • Intellectually curious, almost to a fault.  You seek to deeply understand businesses and processes through thoughtful data analysis, enhanced by building networks and gathering context across the organization.
  • Extensive experience building out pricing framework and strategies, with a proven track record from other data-rich business environments
  • Experience building lifetime value models within a credit card or consumer lending context
