Director, Email Marketing (Member Engagement)

The Director of Email Marketing is key to driving CK’s engagement engine. We are looking for a creative and analytical individual to own and manage the entire Email channel. Your mandate is to keep users engaged on our platform by designing highly personalized messages that touch millions of members every day.

What You Will Do:

  • Define and drive overall strategy for Email as an engagement channel
  • Own all email campaigns - this includes drip campaigns, transactional emails and product recommendations
  • Directly manage the entire email development process - this includes ideation, creative development, QA, testing, deployment and reporting
  • Use data to identify opportunities to engage with members as well as to optimize segmentation and targeting strategies
  • Partner closely with Copy, Design, Brand and Product to transform your ideas into compelling and personalized messages and product experiences
  • Design and implement A/B tests to optimize each and every component of emails
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports analyzing campaign results, highlighting successes, trends and opportunities
  • Manage day-to-day email operations - this includes ensuring high inbox deliverability, monitoring reputation scores, complying with industry best practices and managing relationship with ESPs

What We Expect:

  • 7+ years experience working with email marketing, lifecycle marketing or CRM
  • Exceptional project management skills and attention to detail
  • Strong understanding of customer segmentation and testing strategies
  • Hands-on experience in campaign creation using an enterprise level ESP
  • Expertise in email deliverability techniques, IP warm ups and management
  • Excellent communicator with a keen eye for clean and minimalist design
  • Highly analytical and able to derive meaning from data through A/B testing and email optimizationTechnical degree (Economics, Statistics, Math, etc.) preferred
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Familiarity with SQL a plus but not a requirement
  • MBA is a plus, but not required
