Accounting Manager (CPA required)

CreditCards.com is looking for a hands-on Accounting Manager. In this position, you will work closely with the company Controllers and other members of the accounting team in all aspects of finance and accounting. You will be responsible for managing the general accounting function of the company, participate in the monthly financial close, and prepare monthly management financial reporting packages as well as ensuring that our financials are accurate and in accordance with GAAP. You will play a critical role in setting accounting policies and processes as the company grows. About the Role:

  • Manage the company GL and chart of accounts
  • Oversee all balance sheet reconciliations to ensure financial accuracy
  • Oversee all A/R and A/P for the company, as well as oversee collections
  • Define and implement accounting processes
  • Help to improve overall financial reporting for the company
  • Work closely with the Divisional Controllers on financial projects as necessary
  • Responsible for the financial closing activities: journal entries, reconciliations, financial statements preparation
  • Managing the team to ensure that work (AP, AR, cash collections) is completed in a timely manner, in accordance with company policies and deadlines
  • Interface with external accountants during audits
  • Assume other special activities and responsibilities as required

About You:

Must Have Experience:

  • CPA
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (v-lookup, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Experience and ability to present to senior management
  • Excellent knowledge of GAAP
  • Precision and detail oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Proven ability to identify and drive process and system improvements
  • Positive, energetic, optimistic attitude, not afraid to roll up your sleeves
  • Team player, strong interpersonal skills including conscientiousness, diplomacy, flexibility, dependability, and, last but not least, a good sense of humor

Preferred Experience:

  • Big 4 Accounting experience
  • Experience with a cloud based ERP system
  • Management experience of accounting staff
