Description
Purpose:
Identifies revenue assurance opportunities through the analysis of data and assessment of business processes and creates potential solutions. Identifies revenue leakage throughout the revenue process flow. Develops plans and implements corrective actions to mitigate revenue leakage points and risks. Directs and coordinates systems and processes necessary for the efficient and economical capture, creation and maintenance of revenue and direct cost records in support of internal financial reporting, timely and accurate customer invoicing and creation of accounts receivable files. Researches and resolves billing problems and discrepancies. Establishes programs and controls to reduce exposure to fraud and bad debts.

Responsibilities
- Analyzes data to identify revenue leakage or billing anomalies;
- Conducts data analysis and business process assessments to identify revenue assurance opportunities;
- Performs risk analysis to measure the exposure versus the cost to implement new procedures;
- Maintains customer records to manage customer specific rating and billing requirements;
- Reconciles revenue and settlement accounts;
- Performs audit activities including reviews of exception reports and inspection of invoices;
- Assists in the creation of policies and procedures to perform audits, identify revenue leakage and detect fraud;
- Conducts fraud profiling, predictive modeling and identification of patterns and trends;
- Prepares and reviews detailed billing reports.
- Work is similar to that performed by senior-level employees in support/paraprofessional roles without degrees/certification to gain practical exposure to application of theories/principles of specialized area;
- Work is of limited scope, typically on smaller, less complex projects/ assignments or providing support for larger projects/ assignments that have department and area impact

- Works in compliance with established procedures and/or protocols. Identifies and resolves readily identifiable, clearly-defined problems;

- BS/BA or Associates degree in related discipline.
- Certification may be required in some areas;
- Generally, 0-2 years of experience in related field OR MS/MA/MBA or law degree and generally 0-1 year of experience in related field
- Entry level professional contributor on a project or specialty work team
