Programmatic Specialist - Cox Automotive

Work Summary
Cox Automotive Media Group is looking for an outstanding Programmatic Specialist to join our team. The Programmatic Specialist will fill a cross functional role to actively manage Cox Automotive Media Group programmatic campaigns. This person must possess strong analytical skills; including the ability to analyze raw data, interpret performance, draw conclusions, and summarize actionable recommendations and their forecasted outcomes/implications. This position requires a thorough understanding of technical execution and involves problem solving. This individual will be engaged in many levels of planning, execution and analysis. The ideal candidate is a highly motivated, flexible yet focused individual who maintains a positive attitude, learns new things quickly and thrives in a fast paced environment.


• Manage day-to-day flow of programmatic inventory-includes evaluating block lists, organizing and launching marketplace deals across two of the largest automotive brands, KBB and Autotrader including Autotrader Specialty sites
• Pro-actively monitor advertiser activity for performance and delivery; developing strategies to increase performance and monetization
• Define and identify key performance metrics and report on them daily, weekly and monthly
• Present reports/analyses that contain valuable, actionable insight to a wide range of team members, from entry-level to senior executives
• Monitor marketplace trends with a goal of identifying new opportunities for revenue growth, present findings to internal stakeholders and recommend appropriate action
• Maintain knowledge of media technology, supply side platforms, buy side platforms and analytics tools
• Stay current with best practices in the rapidly changing programmatic landscape
• Develop market intelligence on new product opportunities and potential offerings
• Work closely with internal stakeholders across multiple Cox Automotive Media Group entities to implement and support key strategic initiatives
• Scale local automotive advertising as it evolves
• Occasional travel required

Essential skills, knowledge and abilities:

• Strong analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven recommendations
• Expertise in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint and specifically, the ability to create charts and graphs based on data analysis
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be highly organized with excellent follow-through
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must demonstrate the ability to communicate the big picture and drill down to supporting details
• Excellent ability to multi-task and close attention to detail a must
• Strong judgment skills; ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment
• Strong curious nature and entrepreneurial demeanor

Non-essential skills, knowledge and abilities:

• 2+ years working directly with ad technologies such as SSP’s, DMPs, DSPs, Ad Exchanges, Ad Servers preferred
• Experience with yield optimization software a plus
• High degree of creativity, self-motivation, and drive
• Eagerness to work in a dynamic environment that will be rapidly changing
• BS or BA required
