Job Description:

CourseHorse is seeking five hungry, talented sales professionals to help us partner with thousands of educators across the country.

You'll go through rigorous training conducted by our CEO, and we'll rely on you to quickly master our existing sales pitch & process, pave the way to improve it, and constantly provide feedback to our team about what's working, what's not, and how we can make our service better every day. 

Every week, you will:

  • Have phone calls with local class providers set up for you by our email sales development team
  • Speak with these schools to introduce them to our platform, educate them about why it works so well for them, and convince them to give it a try
  • Use our CRM system to report out on the intricacies of the conversation, so that our email follow up team can properly 'nurture' the schools that don't sign up with you immediately
  • Proactively identify areas in the sales process for improvement  and collaborate cross functionally to achieve them
  • Participate in sales meetings and articulate market feedback to the entire CourseHorse team
  • Learn an insane amount about every aspect of building a company
  • Some quick details about our process:
    • Our sale is much easier than the average phone sale, because:
      • We never ask for credit card information; it's free for schools to work with us and they pay only when they get a student!
      • They don't have to do anything to work with us -- we set up their account and manage all the information
      • Schools can quit anytime, no questions asked
    • Some quick stats:
      • You'll be able to close 4 out of 5 calls! It's not a job with a lot of rejection :)
      • Only 4% of schools we sign ever want to leave (it's because they love us and value our service)

You will excel in this role if you have:

  • Deep self-motivation and the ability to self-manage – a curiosity and independence that makes you seek out your own answers and try new things first
  • Strong emotional intelligence that enables you to read and react in-the-moment to other people
  • Above all, a positive, can-do attitude and extraordinary hustle and tenacity
  • A bachelor's degree (highly preferred)
  • 0-5 years previous sales experience
