As a diversity and inclusion intern at COUNTRY Financial, you will work alongside our diversity and inclusion program manager and the Talent Management team to:
- Provide support for diversity, inclusion, and engagement initiatives, activities, and programs
- Manage logistics of the high school Learning & Leading internship program which includes:
- Serving as the primary point of contact for students and mentors
- Organizing classroom activities, including curriculum coordination, scheduling and occasional facilitation for weekly sessions
- Training and providing support to mentors
- Maintaining program evaluation schedule and reports
- Organizing the program graduation ceremony in partnership with others involved in the program

Requirements:
- Pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Communication, Leadership Development, Organizational Behavior Psychology, Business or a related field
- Graduation date of August 2018 or beyond
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Presentation or group facilitation skills are strongly desired
- Demonstrated understanding of diversity and inclusion
- Ability to use inclusive language and terms surrounding diversity and inclusion
- Ability to work empathetically with high school students
- Self-motivated and proven ability to work independently and as a team member
- Strong multitasking, time management and organizational skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
- Must be able to work full-time hours from May to August 2018. The internship may be extended part-time into the fall semester; depending on the availability of the student, the needs of the company, and strong work performance.
