Agribusiness Internship

As an agribusiness intern at COUNTRY Financial, you will work across our Agribusiness Operations division to:

  • Assist our Crop Underwriting, Farm Underwriting, and Crop Claims teams in development of new and existing agribusiness products and the associated implementation issues and deliverables
  • Assist with researching business impacts of new regulations and other compliance related issues
  • Design, maintain and update procedures, power point presentations, training materials and department spreadsheets
  • Conduct system testing and report issues in order to make enhancements
  • Edit and proofread drafts of coverage forms
  • Assist in state filing preparation
  • Aid in training material coordination
  • Support internal and external audit efforts
  • Assist in production underwriting efforts


  • Pursuing a degree in Agribusiness, OR pursuing a degree in Insurance, Communications, or a Business related field with an Ag background
  • Graduation date of August 2018 or beyond
  • Exercises analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
  • Must be organized and self-motivated
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and deadlines
  • Must be able to work full-time hours from May to August 2018. The internship may be extended part-time into the fall semester; depending on the availability of the student, the needs of the company, and strong work performance.
