RTR Process Expert and Project Manager

We are looking for RTR Process Expert and Project Manager

This role is an integral part of the GPO team which is responsible for defining and owning the end to end processes for Record to Report (RTR) across functional, geographical and business units, ensuring standardization, delivering cost efficiency through the implementation of new technology and tools and implementing effective controls and KPIs. This position will be responsible for managing global projects which will transform the way we work though the introduction of best in class tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Support transformation of RTR to best in class industry practices, defining projects that enable future simplification, standardisation, automation and deliver cost savings
  • Partner with IT and external partners to evaluate tools, examples could include journal process workflow and balance sheet reconciliation tool
  • Prepare business case including ROI
  • Plan and track projects including timelines, costs and resource requirements
  • Work with relevant stakeholders to design & test
  • Manage risks and issues through all phases of the project
  • Manage business adoption of new tool and process including change and engagement, capability enhancement and training
  • Support transformation of RTR to best in class, applying ongoing continuous improvement to identify and implement changes through new technology
  • Design and implement and continuously evolve an optimized global operating model and global policies
  • Actively promote ideas which will gain efficiencies, identifying opportunities for system enhancement / VBA / RPA preparing business cases and partnering with IT and SSC to implement
  • Constantly seek areas of best practice (both internally and externally) and make recommendations to improve global processes and policies
  • Ensure strong internal controls framework in place and appropriate segregation of duties
  • Business partner to Shared Service Centres, Local accounting teams and corporate finance driving process excellence and ensuring flawless day to day operations
  • Support with ongoing training needs for both SSC and LCOs
  • Hold regular forums/ meetings to connect key stakeholders to understand challenges and reach consensus on solutions and to ensure project meets the required tollgates

Requirements:
  • Bachelors or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • Minimum 5 year experience in finance and accounting in a shared services environment
  • In depth knowledge of end to end RTR processes, best practices and improvement enablers
  • Proven project management experience, ideally in implementation of new RTR technology
  • Knowledge/understanding of Blackline system
  • Exposure to multiple tools and methodologies and familiar with financial and ERP systems, ideally SAP and HFM
  • Knowledge of Blackline software will be an advantage
  • A drive and passion to achieve results at a high level

  • Self-starter able to work independently and able to prioritise tasks & workload with excellent attention to detail, results orientated
  • Strong problem solving capabilities, able to deal with ambiguity, understand the linkages and drive solutions, demonstrating creative thinking and good business judgement
  • Ability to work in an international business context, advanced English (both verbal and written) is essential
  • Willing to travel as required
