Title: Finance Manager, North America Custodian Operations
Location: NY - Empire State Building
Reports to: Director, US Finance Controller
Department: North America Custodian Operations - Regional LCO

Purpose of Role: To manage US Accounting & Reporting processes while supporting various corporate and business initiatives.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Provide accounting support, guidance and act as liaise to business controlling finance teams
  • Manage the preparation and analysis of key financial statement accounts and significant reserves (Bad Debt, Trade Spend, Returns & Markdowns, Revenue Recognition)
  • Manage the preparation and consolidation of Corporate deliverables (e.g. Quarterly Analytics, Reporting Pack, Tax Pack, Forecast, etc.)
  • Review account reconciliations and journal entries ensuring compliance to GAAP & Corporate and local policies
  • Manage the preparation of monthly Short-Term Liquidity Forecasts for the entities in North America and the annual cash forecast for the US
  • Develop and perform monthly trend analysis to help drive expectations in advance of the quarterly reporting periods
  • Support in the development of local policies & procedures, evaluate internal controls and ensure SOX compliance
  • Support internal and external audits by providing audit schedules, support and responding to inquiries
  • Assist in the preparation of various analytical reports for presentation and distribution to senior management.
  • Coordinate annual financial and royalty audits
  • Perform technical accounting research as needed
  • Respond timely to ad-hoc requests made by senior management
  • Participate in special projects as needed (business integration, system implementations, global harmonization and standardization, working capital improvement initiatives, SOX compliance, other process improvements)
  • Supervise and develop staff through internal/external training, performance evaluations, etc.

Key Challenges:

  • Ability to work under tight deadlines, deal with diverse levels of financial and operating personnel in a multi-national organization and 3 rd party external organizations
  • Ability to work independently, under general direction, and create organized work plans and output requirements timely
  • Demonstrate creative thinking and good business judgment
  • Ability to be flexible, multi-task, have strong organizational, communication and leadership skills to meet strict deadlines and manage multiple projects

Experience:
  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting or Finance required
  • CPA preferred
  • Strong analytical and technical accounting skills
  • 5-8 years of business experience with combination of public accounting and private industry preferred
  • Strong computer skills particularly in MS Office. Knowledge of SAP and Hyperion a plus.

  • Revenue- No direct revenue responsibility
