. Core Description
Director, Field Education and Events Programming is responsible for delivering retail sales goals (detailed KPIs listed below), with a concentration on in store education, events and field development. The Director of Field Education and Events also owns critical organizational expectations - including planning and communication of retailer driven programs surrounding Education and Events. Director of Education and Events will also partner with VP and HR to develop and lead national field development programs.
Lead, Develop, and Manage team of 4 Regional Education Executives.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Achieve/exceed Quarterly/Seasonal/Annual retail sales goals
  • Responsible for overall B&M business in specified channels
  • Responsible for event performance targets
  • Partner with RSD's to create regionally relevant strategies to maximize retail sales.
  1. Partner with Sell In team, Coty Events team, and Brand Marketing partners to develop a seasonal program of events
  • Act as point of contact for all event related topics both internally and externally
    • Meet quarterly with sell in and events team to ensure a clear strategy of execution throughout the retail year
    • Partner with internal teams (Coty events and Brand Marketing) to plan and execute marketing level and store level events
    • Create a clear program for field execution and act as point of contact for all field communication pertaining to events
  1. Partner with retailer education teams as well as Coty Education team to develop a seasonal program of education that exceeds retailer criteria and prioritizes key businesses at Coty.
    • Act as point of contact for all education related topics both internally and externally
    • Meet quarterly with retailer education team to ensure a clear strategy of execution throughout the retail year
    • Partner with internal teams (Coty education and marketing) to plan and execute seasonal education initiatives
    • Create a clear calendar of education programs for field execution
    • Responsible for all field communication pertaining to education
  1. Work closely with VP, Field Sales and HR to create a program of skill and career development for the Coty field
  • Partner with VP, Field Sales to identify and communicate field priorities
    • Work closely with RSD's to ensure clear development plans are in place for SDE's and AC's
    • Create a plan of onboarding for new field team members
    • Spend time working side by side with the field to ensure compliance to education and events intiatives
  1. Budget Management
  • Partner with RSD's to allocate event budget to ensure greatest ROI
  • Partner with brand marketing/events team to create and adhere to seasonal/annual budgets
  • Partner with education team to create and adhere to seasonal/annual budgets
Key Performance Indicators:
  1. Retail $ / % vs Goal (total B&M business)
  2. Retail $/ % vs Goal (events)
  3. Measurable ROI on education initiatives
  4. Adherence to budget guidelines
Application Pre-Requisites:
  1. Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university preferred
  2. Intermediate Computer Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
  3. Preferred 5+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  4. Exceptional management, organization, communication and interpersonal skills. Proven knowledge of industry trends and best practices and ability to work across functional areas.
  5. Ability to travel up to 75% of the time, including out of state travel. Required to work from a home office. This position allows for one office day per week.
