Accounts Receivable Trade Deductions Analyst

We are looking to fill the role of Trade Deductions Analyst within our Customer Finance and Deductions Management team in Sanford, N. Carolina to manage customer Trade claims with a focus on company profitability, resolve issues with the assistance of the sales teams in a timely fashion, and manage claims in order to maximize Days to Clear results to ensure proper accruals balances and utilization. The role reports directly to the Trade Deductions Manager (located in NJ) but requires multiple work streams with multiple departments (Sales/Master Data, Sales Controller groups...).

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Working with sales and customers to resolve disputed Trade Claims
  • Researching all customer Trade Claims and obtains supportive and/or additional documentation
  • Navigating customer websites and other resources to clearly understand deductions
  • Reviewing/Processing claims (markdowns, damages, trade, A&CP) in the ITS funding system
  • Providing backup information for Accounts Receivable (AR) adjustments
  • Establishing relationships with retail customers to facilitates efficient deduction resolutions

We'd love to see candidates who have:
Application Pre-Requisites:
  • 2 year degree in related field, or have completed 2 years of college
  • 2 years minimum in A/R, Deductions Management
  • 2 years of experience in a logistics and/ or large volume, fast paced Customer Service environment
  • SAP experience preferred

Special Skills Required:
  • Possess knowledge of deduction categories, Trade fund programs
  • Previous demonstration of exceptional initiative, drive, customer knowledge and focus
  • Understand and use available customer information (website)
  • Be able to handle difficult situations in a professional manner
  • Be able to quickly address and resolve customer concerns, questions, and disputes
  • Possess excellent computer skills, including experience with MS Excel and MS Word
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills
