We see this as an exciting opportunity for someone who is an expert in the industry, have been successfully implementing a working CD & CI solution and believe in automation. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Systems Engineering, this position will work closely with the Software Development organizations in support of our state-of-the-art 24/7/365 production SaaS service offering. This critical position provides great visibility and individual growth potential for an ambitious IT professional, but also requires proven experience with exponential growth on a global scale.
In this role you will…
- Enable Dev and Ops to build and deploy our applications from code to production and internal environments using our infrastructure
- Work with your team members and peer groups to deploy continuous deployments, continuous integration, automate machine provisioning and compliance work in a fast-paced SaaS environment, guaranteeing uptime levels that exceed 99.9%+
- Standardize, automate and document setup of development and production environments
- Own and drive improvements to our build and release scripts, tools, and processes
- Help define best practices for source control, continuous integration, automated testing and release management
- Collaborate with peers on work estimation/planning and implementation of new versions/features of tools
- Build tools for internal use to support software engineering best practices
- Bring new automation technologies to improve the velocity and quality of our engineering efforts

- Collaborative team player that is excited to work alongside some of the most talented resources in all of Northern and Southern California, maybe even the world – we are that ambitious
- Multiple years working for enterprise corporations, preferably SaaS, in highly efficient and dynamic teams, using different hardware and software platforms
- Proven experience in successful implementation of CD and CI in a SaaS environment
- Solid experience working with different package management solutions
- Solid experience with Linux and Windows infrastructure; OS, networking, sysadmin
- Team player intensely focused on contributing to our culture and making the world a better place to live
- In-depth automation experience using configuration management tools, such as Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Vagrant, Packer, and Docker
- Strong Python coding/scripting skills (other scripting language may be considered)
- Strong experience in specifically DevOps role - meaning supporting developers by providing infrastructure, maintaining CI/CD systems, etc.
- Proven experience architecting infrastructure in AWS using native tools such as CloudFormation and ECS or third-party tools in the Hashicorp suite
- Experience with a CI systems, such as Jenkins, Bamboo, or Team City
- Familiarity with one or more of these technologies: GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, Chef, Jira.
- Extensive experience with Linux and Unix platforms
- Experience with application performance monitoring tools such as New Relic, Datadog, or AppDynamics
- Possess a solid understanding of both network and systems security
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work toward task completion
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
