Intern, Administration and Information Technology

The Information Technology (IT) internship is a part-time non-exempt position at COPE Health Solutions. The intern must be an enthusiastic and innovative business professional who will thrive in a fast-paced organization that is growing exponentially.

The intern will primarily assist the Manager of Information Technology with daily IT operations which may require travel to client sites.  The intern should be well organized, detailed-oriented, flexible, have strong written and verbal communication skills, and be able to effectively multi-task while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Position Description:

  • Assist with IT training for new team members. Trainings include, but are not limited to, audiovisual use, corporate phone use, introduction to the network drives, using terminal services, and so forth
  • Assist with providing high quality support through the IT help desk
  • Assist with the routine operations IT checklist
  • Assist with updating and developing internal policies and procedures
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all information
  • Assist with vendor relations
  • Assist with project management relating to IT
  • Provide high quality of service to all team members at all times
  • Assist with equipment check out and check in
  • Assist with setting up and troubleshooting teleconferencing accounts
  • Provide high quality of service to all team members at all times

Position Expectations:

  • Develop and maintain high levels of employee satisfaction
  • Meet with supervisor on a regular basis to report status of operations
  • Attend and take minutes for bi-weekly IT huddle meetings


  • Completed or pursuing B.A. or B.S. Degree
  • Minimum 1-3 years of business administrative work preferred
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office required
  • Strong customer drive and dedication to quality and success
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Detail-oriented and able to work well independently
  • Able to work collaboratively and effectively while handling multiple projects on various timelines in an extremely fast-paced environment
  • Flexible with work hours, able to travel, and be able to work on evenings and weekends occasionally
  • Strong acumen for the health care industry, analytical thinking skills and a strong and dedicated work ethic are required

Technical Skills:

Extremely high level of proficiency of Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and Project Management) and experience with internet research.
