Summary:
The Insurance Specialist/Receptionist is responsible for overseeing patient flow, answering phones promptly and courteously and scheduling appointments. May be responsible for data entry of patient demographics, posting of charges, payments and adjustments as required in the clinic setting.
• ther responsibilities may include obtaining insurance verification, referral authorization, processing and follow-up of insurance claims and collections as required. Expected to have knowledge of all front office procedures and adhere to all policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent required
- At least two years of experience in a medical office setting
- Understanding of diversified insurance plans and Managed Care environment
- Knowledge of coding and medical terminology
- Exhibit good interpersonal and communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge at a minimum
- Experience in a behavioral health setting preferred
