Summary:

The Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant will create, develop and implement all aspects necessary for the establishment of a comprehensive program aimed at servicing the needs of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation patients, in both hospital-based and clinic settings. Demonstrates sound clinical judgment and decision-making skills. Knowledgeable in implementation and development of evidence-based practice within Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Education and Experience

Advanced Practice Registered Nurses Master's Degree in Nursing as Advanced Practice Registered Nurse required. Minimum 2 years of pediatric nursing experience or related specialized area strongly preferred. Experience as a Neurology or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation APP strongly preferred.

Physician Assistants Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies required and minimum 1 year of experience in related specialized area strongly preferred. Experience as a Neurology or Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation APP strongly preferred.

Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification

Advanced Practice Registered Nurses

Current Texas professional registered nurse license

Current Texas professional advance practice registered nurse license

Certified as a PNP or FNP

Current Basic Life Support (CPR) required

Physician Assistants

Current Texas professional physician assistant license

Certified as a PA-C

Current Basic Life Support (CPR) required
