 Convene’s core business over the last 9 years has been to host Fortune 500 companies’ most important meetings. The future of Convene is in our WorkPlace product and the technology that powers it. Workplace members find a consistency in our brand and services, regardless of location, while experiencing the ease of doing business with us.

 The WorkPlace Director of Growth is responsible for deepening and developing Convene’s relationship with Broker communities wherever Convene has WorkPlace locations. Success will be determined by the number of net-new, incremental WorkPlace Suite leads through broker channels and their conversion to WorkPlace suite members in accordance with Convene standards, vision, mission, and values including our core principles. This role focuses on generating net-new Broker leads and building a national team to close those leads not otherwise coming in through our existing channels. The role will focus on our existing WorkPlace properties that are pacing behind goal or new WorkPlace properties where we have no presence but plan to launch a new property in the near future. It is expected that the Director of Growth will explore new and creative ideas and strategies that align with Convene as a brand to differentiate the company from the many competitors in the flexible workplace market. This role requires 20% travel to visit WorkPlace locations throughout the U.S. and to hire WP Business Development Directors in select markets to accelerate WorkPlace sales.

 Duties and Responsibilities

 Current assessment (SWOT analysis) of our existing Broker relationships and the Broker “journey.”

 

  • Present and explore future-state Broker engagement models and strategies that support Convene’s WorkPlace growth and pipeline development.

 

  • Actively meet and engage with the Broker community.

 

  • Close internal partnerships with WorkPlace Sales Account Directors, VP of Growth Marketing, Marketing Managers, Director of WorkPlace, Real Estate VP of Business Development and WorkPlace Sales Associates.

 

  • Develop and sustain Broker relationships that build our WorkPlace pipeline.

 

  • Plan, direct and implement Broker strategies and events with the assistance of the Marketing Department.

 

  • Actively seek information and data to better identify and engage the brokers that drive the majority of WorkPlace suite opportunities.

 

  • Subject matter expert on Broker Houses, CRE Platforms, Broker agreements, and WorkPlace Sales/Business Development trends and market evolution.

 

  • Work in conjunction with the WorkPlace Sales Account Directors to ensure all WorkPlace suites are sold and all new geos are pre-sold.

 

  • Establish proficiency with Salesforce/Delphi, Nexedus, the Convene Tech stack (Elevate + Beco) and any additional tools introduced within WorkPlace.

 

  • Be the keeper of weekly, and monthly broker reports to demonstrate growth and identify challenges.

 

  • Be a trusted leader in the Broker Community when it comes to WorkPlace solutions.

 

  • Attend Broker events and WorkPlace conferences.

 

  • Join at least one professional organization and hold a leadership position.
