Job Description



comScore, Inc., is seeking a dynamic individual with digital expertise to help support comScore's CPG (consumer packaged goods) practice. In this role, you will partner with many of the leading CPG companies, so that they can better understand the digital ecosystem, solve pressing business issues, and maximize their particular key performance indicators. In the role of a Sales Manager, this individual will support the company's goals through a range of Account Management, Consulting, and Sales functions in support of our CPG clients and prospects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a series of accounts, and partnering with the CPG Marketing Solutions team to support existing business and expand comScore's footprint across key strategic and new prospective accounts. This individual will also partner with comScore's Client Insights Analysts to deliver our unique analysis and research services, leveraging comScore's core capabilities to address clients' strategic and tactical marketing challenges.

The Sales Manager will:

  • Build comScore's revenues through services that deliver a high return on our clients' investment in our solutions, ultimately achieving or exceeding an annual business plan• Manage a set group of clients in a specific territory and lead the sales efforts to expand revenue in existing clients and add new business and new clients/logos to comScore's client base• Develop a strong understanding of the client's business in order to demonstrate how the comScore product line can assist them to achieve their business goals• Uncover and understand the needs and challenges of our Fortune 500 CPG clients; address these through business analysis, recommendations and ongoing consultation based on our unique information services and ability to assess markets, customers, competitors and prospects• Communicate project objectives and client needs to client service, custom analytics, product management and other internal teams• Partner with the Client Insights team to ensure client deliveries exceed expectations by providing actionable insights that drive additional engagements and on-time renewals• Provide thought leadership in digital CPG strategies, best practices, trends, and core business drivers both internally and externally. Regularly present to clients, prospects, and at industry forums• Manage all aspects of client relationship, including engagement renewals• Work to identify cross-sell and/or upsell opportunities• Partner with CPG marketing solutions team to identify, pitch and close new business.• Exemplify comScore's tradition of analytical and client service excellence and industry leadership


  • 3+ years previous sales experience strongly preferred. • Experience working with digital solutions and/or the CPG industry is a must. • Previous experience with digital market research in an advertiser or ad agency environment a strong plus• Flexibility and ability to work fast under tight deadlines with demanding quality requirements• Excellent client servicing skills, including demonstrated ability to understand client needs and leverage data to deliver actionable insights• Experience developing and implementing strategic sales plans that create customer value and fuel future growth• Minimum of bachelor's degree and 5-7 years professional experience• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and knowledgeable about all things digital
