Location: Montreal, Quebec CA - Hybrid

This dynamic role is at the heart of ensuring our client's financial integrity by overseeing the timely and accurate reconciliation of cash and stocks accounts, as well as the management of issued and approved capital across all Operational business lines. You'll be the key player in identifying and resolving discrepancies keeping detailed records of any anomalies to guarantee precise, on-time reporting. Your work will directly support the North American Reconciliation Team and provide crucial insights to the broader business, including senior management.

As a Senior Reconciliations Administrator, you'll be on the front lines of preventing and detecting financial fraud, mitigating risks, and ensuring strict adherence to SSAE16 regulations, client agreements, and internal Service Level Agreements (SLAs). You'll also take the lead in managing Tier 1 client account reconciliations and capital reports, ensuring they are delivered accurately and promptly to external clients on a monthly or ad-hoc basis. By proactively supporting all Administrators in their day-to-day tasks, you'll help elevate the team's knowledge, ensuring everyone remains highly educated and aware of best practices. As a Senior Administrator, you'll be a crucial guardian in preventing and detecting financial fraud and losses, while also ensuring that accounts comply with strict state personally identifiable information (PII) and escheatment regulations. It's a fast-paced, vital position where your expertise will directly impact the organization's security and operational excellence!

  • Handle high volumes of complex transactions/activities ensuring a high level of accuracy and adhering to Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Perform sign-off on the teams' reconciliation and funding decisions on non-regulated accounts, confirming adherence to company polices.
  • Be a subject matter expert in areas of the business, contribute to projects, give advice to stakeholders and drive process improvements.
  • Use independent judgement to take proactive measures to avoid or mitigate operational issues and risks.
  • Identify and implement process improvement and advise management on such changes.
  • Respond to Client and Administrator queries by creating solutions or formulating recommendations.
  • Adhere to all risk, compliance, and regulators requirements by implementing and enforcing operations workflow and impact.
  • Mentor at least one Administrator, oversee daily tasks, provide training, and support and deliver feedback on performance to line managers.
  • Carry out User Acceptance Testing and feedback for system changes and projects as required.

What will you bring to the role?

Required:

High degree of skill using Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word.

Understanding of the Financial Services industry.

Understating of the application of the relevant regulations (CASS, CAR).

4 -6 years Reconciliation experience.

Preferred:

Collegiate / University level Finance / Accounting / Mathematics or equivalent.
