Location: Bristol, Hybrid

The EMEA Reconciliation area is responsible for the reconciliation of all client held funds and assets.

Supervisors are responsible for the sign-off of client asset reconciliations in line with various jurisdictions regulatory requirements while also managing the daily activities of a team of up to ten people

A role you will love

This role is responsible for managing the timely completion of cash and asset accounts operated for and on behalf of our clients. This will involve the allocation of accounts across the team to ensure appropriate load balancing of effort to achieve optimum efficiency. All breaks and resolution records should be monitored for completeness and appropriateness of annotation, with anomalies identified and resolved in a timely manner.

Some key responsibilities

  • Perform sign-off on all the team's reconciliation and funding decisions confirming adherence to regulatory and company polices.
  • Supervise, develop, and motivate a team.
  • Maintain the Front-to-Back process workflow and the impact of the function's activities on the downstream process.
  • Take proactive measures to identify and resolve operational problems and advise or escalate to management as appropriate.
  • Keep knowledge up to date and use to ensure compliance and best practice across all processes and procedures.
  • Influence and collaborate with peers across several business units to ensure new products and clients are managed effectively, ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Utilise MI to create, feedback, reporting and recommendations to managers and team members.
  • Contribute to projects by providing subject matter expertise and provide advice to internal and external stakeholders on a range of topics

What will you bring to the role?

You should possess strong knowledge of the financial services industry. The ability to demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of the wider operational departments and how they interconnect, with particular insight into the role and function of the reconciliation department within the broader operational framework including key stakeholders and their influence on operational processes.

Other key skills required for the role include:

  • Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
  • Exceptional leadership skills
  • Identify problems and drive through solutions
  • IoC qualification (Desirable)
  • Degree or equivalent (Preferred)
