Transaction Operations Manager (M4):
We are looking for a dynamic, energetic and driven Manager for our Transaction Operations team. You will oversee a team of Transaction Coordinators who manage the transaction details throughout the contract process, freeing agents to focus on building client relationships and advancing their business. Our Transaction team members serve as the first point of contact for all document and compliance related tasks, ensuring a smooth path to closing. From document preparation to deadline tracking to requesting online testimonials, your goal is to ensure that we make life easier for agents and clients every step of the way. You will bring extensive experience and strong industry contacts and be the ongoing central point of communication for the Transaction Coordinator team.
At Compass You Will:
- Attract, develop and retain the Transaction Coordinator team in Chicago, and develop a best in class functional area supporting our team of agents
- Design and implement processes, procedures, and systems architecture to meet the needs of the rapidly growing business
- Ensure business requirements are properly configured in all systems
- Identify, evaluate and recommend key technologies to improve business processes
- Maintain documentation of key operational processes, system improvements and their revisions
- Coordinate audits for compliance and transaction closings
- Ensure that systems are in place to achieve compliance goals, aggregate required forms and meet statutory obligations
- Ability to digest detailed contractual agreements and make informed decisions based on content
- Monitor and improve review techniques
- Occasional travel to branch offices in various offices in the Greater Chicago Region is required
- Work closely with Transaction Coordinators to ensure a complete electronic broker file is maintained for all transactions in our transaction system
- Be the ongoing central point of communication for File Review questions and concerns
- Assist in and/or coordinate the ongoing training efforts for the regional offices
- Monitor and update transaction checklists as needed based on new forms release and other requirements
- Work with the broker of record to develop and revise local/regional disclosures as needed
Skills and Qualifications:
- B.A. or B.S. degree
- In-depth knowledge of Real Estate Transactions - MLS, zipForm, DocuSign, Google Suite, experience with SkySlope a plus
- 5+ years of management experience
- 8+ years of real estate experience
- Real Estate branch management strongly preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Must have active real estate license
- Customer service oriented
- Impeccable attention to detail, organization and problem-solving skills
- Passion for compliance and staying up to date on current real estate related matters and forms revisions
