National Sales Manager Director

Compass is looking for an outstanding executive to oversee our growing national team of industry-veteran Real Estate Sales Managers across 36 offices (100+ offices in the next 3 years). At Compass you will collaborate with a diverse set of professionals to revolutionize the real estate industry. You will be the leader that will partner across Compass to develop and manage our team of Sales Managers, and through them, our fast-growing network of nearly 2,000 top real estate agents nationwide. Sales Managers are critical to attracting agents, coaching them, and helping them manage and grow their business. In this role you will continue to build culture and community among Sales Managers and agents.

You will report to the COO and continuously collaborate with other members of the leadership team to help the company achieve its mission. 

At Compass You Will:

  • Counsel, coach, and mentor Sales Managers across Compass in their management of agents
  • In partnership with the Learning & Development Lead, develop and implement strategies and programs at the individual-, team- and organization-levels together that foster an environment of continuous growth and professional development for Sales Managers and agents
  • Develop a strategy and budget and provide senior leadership with ongoing reporting and analysis of activities
  • Chair the Agent Strategy Committee, made up of top-producing agents, founding agents, and key influencers
  • Act as a bridge between Compass agents and staff to help fuel nationwide collaboration between them and provide senior leadership with the agent’s view and market’s insight on key strategic decisions 
  • Ensure the identification, sharing and implementation of Sales Managers and agents best practices
  • Work with Sales managers, Agent Ops and Marketing to organize networking/referral opportunities for agents including but not limited to growing the network and systematizing/scaling the way we make these connections
  • Ensure that agents are adhering to Compass values in their staff interactions and drive and embed diversity and inclusion practices into all that we do 
  • Manage key external real estate relationships (e.g. representing Compass with REBNY board and MLS)
  • Support the Strategic Growth Management team in the recruitment of top 100 national agents every year
  • Help prepare regional succession plans and hire the next generation of Sales Managers based on Compass growth
  • If time permits, manage directly top 10-20 agents and evaluate the need to create additional divisions to the existing one (Sport and Entertainment) and work with the involved agents

  • Excellent communicator who can effectively manage multiple stakeholders
  • Charisma and natural ability to connect with others / high emotional intelligence
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple deadlines simultaneously
