Head of Operations - EAST

As the Head of Operations - East, you are a talented and sought after business professional who is passionate about introducing technology to real estate. You are excited to build world class scalable operations for a high growth company. Working directly with the East Regional President, you will ensure operational excellence while owning responsibility for identifying and building infrastructure elements critical to the region. You and your team will work closely with functional leaders in product, engineering, operations, and finance in New York City as well as local leadership across all East Regional markets.

 At Compass You Will:

  • Work hand in hand with the East Regional President to ensure success for all East Regional markets spanning the entirety of business critical topics
  • Measure and continually improve metrics and KPIs setting priorities and driving continuous improvement against results and targets
  • Build and implement strategies with market leaders to achieve overall company strategic priorities (e.g., technology adoption, inventory initiatives, people and culture initiatives, marketing operations)
  • Develop robust and scalable infrastructure that will allow us to expand our customer base & footprint across the East with speed and quality
  • Develop tools and processes to drive fiscal discipline and accountability
  • Ensure day to day high priority regional issues are resolved thoroughly, with a strong customer-service mindset 

What We’re Looking For:

  • 8+ years of experience in business operations, business development or management consulting
  • Ability to “see around corners” - diagnosing and treating issues before they boil over
  • Experience managing teams and multiple projects simultaneously
  • MBA/advanced degree preferred, but not required
  • Strong strategic planning and management skills
  • Data driven decision maker with strong analytical thinking
  • Solution-oriented mindset and work approach
  • Excellent communicator who can effectively manage multiple stakeholders
  • Charisma and a natural ability to connect with others
  • Experience growing and managing teams and developing employees
  • Agile and organized working style to manage and consistently prioritize key initiatives
  • Creative problem-solving abilities and a glass-half-full mentality
  • Ability to empower and inspire the collective team
