General Manager

As the General Manager of Boston, you are a talented and sought after business professional, who is passionate about introducing technology to real estate and is excited to work collaboratively to build the Company’s Boston operations. You will be the Chief Executive for the region and will ensure operational excellence, oversee strategic and financial planning, and enable the rapid growth of the business. You will own both the business and real estate sides of our operations in Boston and have ultimate responsibility for the P&L in the region. You will continuously find ways to improve our Boston operations while ensuring that your solutions are highly scalable. You have a brilliant business and operational mind, and can identify strong talent to continually build a world class team. You will work closely with functional leaders in New York across product, engineering, business development and finance.

At Compass You Will:

  • Lead all operations and local staff to ensure business success and seamless support for Compass’s agents and staff
  • Develop and refine strategy for the region, including agent and staff recruiting strategy
  • Guide decisions around Compass service offering to agents in the region
  • Work with Compass Chief Revenue Officer to drive key strategic decisions for the region
  • Ultimate responsibility for Regional P&L
  • Identify People & Culture (HR) needs in order to recruit and retain a world-class team
  • Develop recruiting materials and service offerings to continue to attract the top agents in the region
  • Act as the key point of contact for Headquarters to understand the Company’s Boston operations and performance

What We're Looking For:

  • Extensive experience in management consulting, finance or business operations
  • Experience managing teams and multiple projects simultaneously
  • MBA/advanced degree preferred, but not required
  • Strong strategic planning and management skills
  • Data driven decision maker with strong analytical thinking
  • Solution-oriented mindset and work approach
  • Excellent communicator who can effectively manage multiple stakeholders
  • Charisma and a natural ability to connect with others
