Director of Executive Communications

As the Director of Executive Communications, you will be responsible for overseeing, organizing and executing the full communications strategy and operations of our CEO and COO. You are an experienced communications leader, process-builder, strong writer and strategic thinker who is able to execute. You work well with others and enjoy collaborating and managing a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You are a solutions-driven optimist. You are a trusted ambassador for the CEO and COO of Compass.

At Compass You Will:

  • Work with the executive office team to help design a system for tracking, managing and executing communications across all channels, including social media, meetings, presentations and written content
  • Work directly with the executive communications lead to execute a social media strategy that amplifies the CEO’s message and drives engagement
  • Collaborate with the CEO, COO and their teams to oversee the creation of written communication, including large format speeches, company-wide announcements and talking points
  • Serve as the primary liaison across the CEO and leadership team to ensure strong coordination between teams, and develop methods for expanding the CEO and COO’s messages across our employee and agent communities
  • Ensure all communications are driven through the lens of the CEO and COO, which includes capturing personal values and voice

What We're Looking For:

  • 10+ years of experience in PR and communications, preferably in executive communications at high-growth companies
  • Expert project manager who can design and execute process where none exists and delegate effectively
  • Highly articulate, verbal and written communication skills, with a passion for delivering complex messages in simple, concise and understandable ways
  • Obsessive attention to detail that drives high quality outputs
  • Thrives in a company that moves and makes decisions quickly
