Corporate Development and Strategic Finance Senior Analyst - New York City

As a Corporate Development & Strategic Finance Senior Analyst, you will drive positive business outcomes through financial insight and analytical rigor. You will work closely with members of the Corporate Development & Strategic Finance team and play an integral role in analysis on a wide range of projects, including strategic decision making and resource allocation, KPI development, analysis, & tracking, acquisition diligence, geographic and business model expansion, and investor relations. You will work alongside the Strategic Growth team to support organic and inorganic growth planning and execution, and interface with the Legal, Sales, Operations, FP&A, Expansion, and numerous other teams on a wide range of ad hoc research projects.

At Compass You Will:

  • Partner with business units on highly impactful projects that drive strategic value creation and find cost savings (e.g., Sales incentive plan & structure, Compass Concierge & other agent programing initiatives)
  • Support the evaluation and diligence of M&A and strategic investment opportunities through financial modeling, structuring, and valuation analyses
  • Be a critical contributor to development and tracking of core company key performance indicators (KPIs) to aid in managing the business and reporting to investors
  • Assist with strategic analysis around expanding into new markets and launching new business lines 
  • Track the competitive landscape and new models
  • Develop investor materials for Board meetings and support other investor relations projects

What We're Looking For:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field from a top-tier university with a strong academic record 
  • 1-3 years of experience at a top investment bank, private equity firm, management consultancy, or corporate finance / corporate development team
  • Superior analytical skills, and a desire to develop strong financial modeling capabilities. Experience working with large data sets a plus
  • Ability to project manage cross-functionally across a broad set of stakeholders
  • Thrives in a fast paced, changing environment and has a desire to quickly contribute and impact a fast-growing organization
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proven leadership track record
