Agent Finance Analyst

Compass is looking for an exceptional Senior Operational Finance Analyst to join the Incentives and Contract Fulfillment team. Positioned at our NYC headquarters, you will play an integral role in supporting our nationwide Finance organization by analyzing and ensuring fulfillment of Agent contract terms, including one-time and recurring A/P incentive payments and A/R invoicing, as well as the accurate completion of non-standard commission payouts. Reporting to the Operational Finance Manager, you will drive the accuracy and timeliness of agent payment contract terms in accordance with Agent Independent Contract Agreements and regional policy guidelines.

At Compass You Will:

  • Lead a client-facing function in communicating with agents and providing best-in-class customer support for inquiries related to contract incentives and payments
  • Guarantee the timely and accurate fulfillment of one-time and recurring agent incentive payments in accordance with Agent Independent Contractor Agreements
  • Ensure non-standard transaction related activity, including but not limited to, commercial transactions, net profit payments, and recruiting incentives are calculated and processed in accordance with contract terms
  • Appropriately react and resolve agent requests with a sense of urgency, soliciting feedback with an eye towards improving the agent’s experience
  • Collaborate with team members to improve the operational systems, processes and policies within the Incentives and Contract Fulfillment division of Operational Finance
  • Engage key stakeholders and relevant parties to drive the efficiency and accuracy of contract payment terms across Compass’ existing and expansion regions
  • Analyse all applicable terms of Independent Contractor Agreements that fall under the purview of the Accounting & Finance team, and facilitate the accurate application and fulfillment of those contracts
  • Work with the Operational Finance Manager to develop and execute strategies for streamlining of the invoicing process across all regions
  • Build and analyze reports to measure agent profitability and key performance metrics  
  • Assist with additional ad hoc requests and projects for the department

What We're Looking For:

  • Two to three years (2-3 years) of relevant experience in Finance or Operations
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, accounting or finance with strong academic record
  • Proficient in Excel and Google Suite; Experience with NetSuite preferred
  • Excellent quantitative and qualitative reasoning skills
  • Superior customer service and communication skills
  • Strong organizational and analytical mindset, as well as an impeccable attention to detail
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude and ability to problem-solve with minimal supervision
  • Ability and desire to roll up sleeves and be hands on in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment
  • Experience in real estate industry a plus
