We are seeking a Simualtion and Comms Intern to join our team.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Providing analysis for the decomposition of customer specifications and system level requirements into sub-system and piece part requirements, and makes recommendations for the generation of verification criteria and plans for the requirements.
- Performing analysis at all levels of the total system product including concept, design, test, operation and maintenance.
- Performing technical planning, verification and validation, and risk analyses for total systems.
- Managing configuration process, performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications.
- Decomposing customer specifications and system level requirements into control system and protection requirements, and generates verification criteria and plans for the requirements.
- Integration of product embedded code into the simulator architecture
- Integration of the simulator into a hardware-in-the-loop test environment
- Support, maintenance, or enhancement of tools used with the simulation such as the drawing editor or scripting engine extensions
Basic Qualifications:
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
- Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident "Green Card" holder
Preferred Qualifications:
- Matlab/Simulink experience
- Experience in some type of computer programming
- C/C++ experience
- Experience with developing applications under the UNIX/Linux operating system family
- Familiarity with common symbolic debugging tools (e.g. gdb, ddd, or dbx)
- Scripting languages such as TCL, Python, and Linux shell
- Experience with algorithms (numerical methods) used to perform physics-based modeling (similar to SPICE)
- Network protocol knowledge such as TCP/IP (ARINC or similar protocol knowledge is a plus)
- Linux system administration experience
