- Enhance existing analytical methods to address all heat exchanger configurations and manufacturing technologies.
- Utilize Star CCM+ to simulate flow and heat transfer for applications such as design optimization and thermal fatigue analysis.
- Size heat exchangers using in-house developed Excel-based macros or Python software, applying principles of heat transfer and fluid mechanics with working fluids like air, oil, fuel, and water.
- Collaborate closely with Test Engineers to conduct validation tests and ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Create, maintain, and share technical documentation, including reports, best practice guidelines, design review documents, internal training materials, and journal/conference papers.
- Contribute to R&D by developing patents and nurturing partnerships with internal teams, external organizations, and academic institutions.
- Lead and support technical engagements and collaborations in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
- Education: Minimum degree in Mechanical Engineering or a numerate discipline (Mathematics/Physics, etc.)
- Industry Experience: Experience in Aerospace/Automotive is preferred, but all relevant experience will be warmly considered.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); essential experience in Python programming, Excel VBA, and CFD flow and conjugate heat transfer modeling in Star CCM+.
- Other Skills: Strong analytical skills, excellent communication (both verbal and written), and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting. Knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid mechanics is essential, along with experience in vapor cycle component analysis. Familiarity with nTopology and CAD packages such as Siemens NX or other commercial CAD tools is beneficial.
