We are seeking a manufacturing engineering co-op to join our team.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for technical problem definition and solution in manufacturing environment.
  • Responsible to act as liaison with design engineering on incorporating changes to the designs which improve manufacturability.
  • Determine the most efficient sequence of operations and workflow, and establish methods for maximum utilization of production facilities and personnel.
  • Conduct studies pertaining to cost control, cost reduction, inventory control through the application of Lean principles.
  • Prepare cost estimates for proposed projects and evaluate cost factors.
  • Plan and design facilities and layout for manufacturing processes and equipment, taking into account economic factors, process flow, operator efficiency and comfort.
  • Perform assignments requiring use and application of standard engineering economics and product development principles and techniques.
  • Plan, execute (facilitate) and document moderately difficult engineering economics challenges.
  • Maintain awareness of the technological state-of-the-art and of the Company's competitive position in the assigned area.
  • Solve Manufacturing Engineering problems of low level of complexity.
  • Analyze and interpret systems requirements and definition data to the extent necessary to proactively apply engineering economics principles.
  • Assignments usually consist of providing engineering economics support (cost estimates, facilitating achievement of cost requirements/targets) on stand-alone product development efforts.
  • Develop tools that enable manufacturing, aid process improvement or address safety concerns.
  • Frequent use of general/technical knowledge and industry/functional practices, techniques and standards.
  • Responsible for technical problem definition and solution in manufacturing environment.
  • Basic understanding and application of Engineering principles, concepts, practices and standards is expected.
  • Design, develop, and improve station loading/line balancing.
  • Create and maintain factory staffing plan based on sales demand.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor's or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
