About the Department
The Special Projects team at Cloudflare works on a wide range of tactical and strategic projects that are critical to the operations and long term development of Cloudflare. From Cloudflare’s entry into China through a strategic partnership with one of China’s largest Internet companies; to conducting strategic acquisitions; managing our partnerships and relationships with the major cloud providers; and finding commercial opportunities for Cloudflare’s new products and technologies, we are involved at all levels of driving the company’s business strategy and development. The Special Projects team works with the executive level and across all teams in the company.
What You'll Do
As a Technical Partner Architect, you are the technical customer advocate within Cloudflare. To aid your customers, you will work closely with every team at Cloudflare, from Sales and Product to Engineering and Customer Support. Your goal of customer success should drive you through the entire organization as you seek out and create scalable solutions for your customer’s needs.
Desirable skills, knowledge and experience
- Ability to manage a project, work to deadlines, and prioritize between competing demands;
- 5+ years IT solution delivery experience;
- Familiar with Linux and web programming;
- Familiar with Apache, Nginx, and/or IIS;
- Experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MS SQL, and other database servers;
- You have experience troubleshooting DNS, Network, SSL and HTTP layer;
- You can talk to the differences between TCP & UDP, and understand what kinds of applications may favour one over the other;
- You understand the role of a firewall, the difference between L3, L4 & L7 firewalls
- You can describe the differences between CSRF, XSS and SQLi in detail, and Cloudflare's role in defending against them;
- Understanding of, or experience with, regulatory requirements such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, and SOC-2;
