About the Role

Cloudflare helps build the future of the Internet. We started Cloudflare to solve one half of every IT organization's challenge: how do you ensure the resources and infrastructure that you expose to the Internet are safe from attack, fast, and reliable. We saw that the world was moving away from hardware and software to solve these problems and instead wanted a scalable service that would work around the world.

To deliver that, we built one of the world's largest networks. Today our network spans more than 200 cities worldwide and is within milliseconds of nearly everyone connected to the Internet. We have built the capacity to stand up to nation-state scale cyberattacks and a threat intelligence system powered by the immense amount of Internet traffic that we see.

We are now expanding Cloudflare’s product offerings to solve the other half of every IT organization's challenge: ensuring the people and teams within an organization can access the tools they need to do their job and are safe from malware and other online threats. 

To do that, we released Cloudflare for Teams, a new platform built on Cloudflare’s network to secure users, devices, and data in organizations of any size. Cloudflare for Teams consists of two components: Cloudflare Access, built to replace VPNs and protect internally-managed applications, and Cloudflare Gateway, a comprehensive approach to ensuring that team members are protected from malware and other threats on the Internet.

Cloudflare for Teams is developed within our Product Strategy division. Product Strategy is where new, bold, products are built and released within Cloudflare. We move quickly and shape our products based on customer usage and feedback, while leveraging the massive scale and reliability of our global network.

What you'll do

You will be the primary Product Manager for Cloudflare Access and its roadmap.

Cloudflare released the Access product in 2018 and we’re only getting started building new features to help teams move faster and stay more secure when working on internal applications. The role requires a strong understanding of both identity-based security and how teams work in organizations. You will build new features and solve new use cases for teams of all sizes, from small businesses to some of the largest businesses in the world. The role will demand organization, attention to detail, and empathy for customers and the problems they need solved. 

A suitable candidate will have an exceptional understanding of engineering, design, or product, and a deep desire to learn. They will communicate with grace and empathy inside and outside of Cloudflare.

  • 5+ years of experience building software for mobile devices
  • The ability to work in a fast-moving and ever-changing environment
  • Experience working with customers, engineers, and designers
  • Experience working on security products

  • A deep understanding of technical subjects and the internet

Responsibilities

This is a very self-directed role where you will be expected to own a product vision, direction, and day-to-day growth including: 

  • Help contribute to crafting Cloudflare’s vision for the future of the Internet
  • Act as front-line support for the product, answering customer tickets and resolving issues
  • Work with customer-facing teams during and after sales cycles
  • Communicate with peers, leadership, and customers
  • Organize and triage features and issues
  • Manage a product roadmap and its translation to revenue
  • Make decisions and own outcomes
  • Work alongside an engineering team to execute on the product vision
