Job Description:

We are seeking a Market Research Manager to lead our market research initiatives and provide strategic insights to drive business growth. In this role, you will craft and analyze market trends, conduct research and analysis on our competitors and overall market landscape. You will be required to develop strategies and recommendations based on your findings that will help us gain a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough and detailed research on competitors, including their products, services, pricing, marketing strategies, and market share.
  • Identifying market trends and potential opportunities for our company and provide updates to senior management.
  • Analyze and interpret data to develop useful insights and recommendations for our business.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that our products and services meet customer needs and are daring in the market.
  • Manage and prioritize multiple research projects simultaneously.
  • Build and managed relationships with external research firms and industry associations.
  • Design and implement market research studies, surveys, focus groups, and interviews, to understand customer needs, preferences, and behavior.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of the market, including customer demographics, segmentation, and market size and share.
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including product, marketing, and sales, to understand business goals and recommend data-driven solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry standard processes and emerging trends.
  • Analyze information to identify key details that can be used in news stories.
  • Provide background information to reporters and editors to support their reporting.
  • Collaborating with other members of the news team to develop story ideas and angles.
  • Fact-checking information to ensure accuracy and reliability
  • Manage external research vendors and partners to ensure high-quality research results within budget and timeline constraints.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, statistics, or a related field.
  • 5 years in market research, and experience crafting and performing market research studies!
  • 2 years of management experience!
  • Strong analytical skills, and being able to collect, analyze, and interpret complex data sets.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork and the ability to work with other teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical team members.
  • Experience with market research tools and techniques, such as survey design, data analysis, and visualization.
  • 3 years of experience in data visualization, such as Tableau, Looker, Qlik, Google Data Studio or PowerBI
  • Familiarity with statistical software, such as SPSS or R, is a plus.
