Compensation Specialist - Salt Lake City

As a Compensation expert, you will help us manage our compensation programs, systems and processes. This is an individual contributor role, and you'll have the opportunity to have a direct impact on the Clearlink employee value proposition.



What You'll Do
  • Manages compensation functions, including survey participation, job evaluation, salary structure development, incentive plan design, and associated analysis.
  • Provides advice to managers on pay decisions, policy and guideline interpretation, and job evaluation, including the design of creative solutions to specific compensation-related programs/issues.
  • Manages the cyclical compensation review cycle working with the HRBP and HRIS teams on salary changes, recommendations, promotions, increases, and payouts.
  • Develops and maintains salary bands, job level, job architecture, and associated compensation plans.
  • Develops and documents procedures to streamline processes and ensures compliance with ‎regulatory requirements.
  • Works with Talent Acquisition team on providing market relevant compensation data for job requisitions.
  • Formulates recommendations regarding development of salary structure, FLSA exemptions, job revisions and organizational structures.
  • Provides analytical support and data analysis on projects and human resource metrics in a timely manner.
  • Develops reports as requested by leadership using proven compensation programs. Assists in the generation and analysis of compression analyses, market adjustment reports, out-of-range reports, exemption change reports, or other compensation-related analyses.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics to help drive desired business outcomes.
  • Maintain compensation data in Workday and associated HR systems
  • Assist in the design/development of any new compensation programs
  • Act as a backup and resource to the benefits team during busy times of the year, like open enrollment.
  • Willing to wear many hats, and capable of juggling multiple priorities.


What You Need
  • Experience in development and management of company compensation strategy and policy oversight
  • Bachelors Degree required, professional certifications (PHR, CCP, CEBS) highly desired
  • Strong analytical, auditing, and decision making skills, including project management capabilities
  • Ability to think critically, work independently, and problem solve complex scenarios
  • Ability to analyze and identify trends as well as propose and implement solutions
  • Strong technical skills with ability to navigate systems and tools, create reports and present data
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Workday experience required.
