HR Generalist

The Field HR Generalist supports CLEAR’s aviation teams and to achieve agreed upon business results through the development and effective implementation of a broad range of Human Resource programs and processes. This includes assisting in staffing and recruitment efforts, developing high performing team members, maintaining conditions for a high degree of engagement and productivity at each airport and ensuring executional excellence. We are looking for an experienced multi-jurisdiction HR professional that will be responsible for overseeing the HR function at approximately 23 CLEAR airport locations around the U.S area as well as providing assistance at the corporate level for learning & development initiatives. The individual selected will be based at our NYC Headquarters with regular travel to support the field teams.

What you will do:

Execute the operations and administration of the Human Resources function within the assigned locations liaising frequently with all level of Operations and HR leadership influencing them to achieve people oriented outcomes.

Support, coach, and develop airport teams.  Work closely with both Regional and General Managers to indirectly manage and develop all levels of CLEAR airport teams to achieve location- based human resource initiatives.

Develop and administer policies and programs which allow team members to maximize their contribution to the airport results. 

Advise management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues and practices; gives support when needed (i.e. sit in on coaching or mediation sessions, assist in the completion of counseling forms and performance improvement plans)

Help develop field level management skills in recruiting, hiring, and performance management

Ensure compliance regarding all employment practices: selection processes, I-9 reporting, e-verify, record keeping, EEOC compliance & reporting, and file management

Support benefits administration, open enrollment, monthly reconciliation and maintenance initiatives for all associates at assigned locations

Help introduce or explain new or revised HR policies and/or systems; new State or Federal laws and new or revised procedures.


Who you are:

You have a Bachelor degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent training and experience

Minimum 3-5 years of experience in generalist Human Resources management preferably within the airport, hospitality or retail industry.

Required proficiency, knowledge, and experience in all HR processes: selection & employment (sourcing strategies, interviewing skills, Employment laws, college recruiting, on-boarding), employee relations, compensation, benefits administration, workers compensation, and talent management

Working knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations.

Strong planning and project management skills and ability to apply these skills in effective working partnerships across organizational lines

Experience in coaching and providing training for business partners and managers

Excellent interpersonal skills, including leadership, influencing, and relationship-building across functions

Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point)

Knowledge of and experience with HR systems (ATS, HRIS, Performance Management)

Experience in coaching and providing training for business partners, managers, and hourly team members

Excellent oral/written communication skills, including group facilitation and presentation skills

Experience in coaching and providing training for business partners and managers

Ability to travel 25% - 50%, depending on company needs
