Head of QA Engineering

The Head of QA will be working in a fast-paced environment together with our Engineering team and will guide the quality metrics and controls of our platform by developing and executing customer-focused test strategies - this won't be a simple case of executing test plans that have been predefined for you. You will be leading and driving our testing initiatives, and utilize various testing techniques to verify platform features and functionality.  The successful candidate for this role is highly motivated and passionate about software quality, and has an insatiable desire to continuously improve complex systems. 

 What You Will Do:

Plan, develop and execute of manual/automation test and performance testing of front-end and backend systems.

Implement QA process and design test strategies, execution methods, and success measures of both functional testing and non-functional testing.

Track, document deliverables and develop highly detailed QA plans regarding QA processes, approaches, tools, resources, ownership, scheduling, and criteria to measure success.

Work with the broader Engineering team to create test plans for existing and new functionalities.

Achieve quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans.

Manage testing feedback, lead defect prioritization, and communicate regularly with discipline leads to ensure proper resolution in a timely fashion.

Manage JIRA bug tracking process, track issues status and resolution progress, and create quality matrices for the project team.

Recommend best practices and approaches.

BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering field.

 You have strong, hands-on experience with the following:

Linux and Windows environments

Programming languages (Python, Java, C++/C#) to automate manual testing or tasks

Testing tools like Selenium

Open source test tools and frameworks

DevOps Testing workflows

Amazon Web Services

Docker / Micro Services
