Customer Service Representative III

DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
This individual will provide appropriate assistance and referrals to insure compliance with scrap tire ordinance. Prepare written records or proceedings, as well as original correspondence ot customers. Maintain and monitor various records and reports. Respond to customers' questions received over the phone, face-to-face, through the mail or email. Provide information to customers who are regulated businesses regarding the scrap tire program. Will process applications and payments. Complete field inspections including issuing citations and violations under Chapter 39. Attend court as needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS
Work consists of standard procedures and tasks where basic analytic ability is required. As in the comparison of numbers and simple facts in the selecting the correct action. The position is physically comfortable most of the time with occasional periods of stooping, bending and /or light lifting of materials of up to 10 pounds.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Requires a high school diploma or a GED.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Three years of administrative or customer service-related experience are required. Associate's degree may substituted for up to two years of experience. Bachelor's degree may be substituted for up to four years of experience.

None

PREFERENCES
Eligible Bilingual candidates.

Eligible veteran applicants provided such persons possess the qualifications necessary for competent discharge of the duties involved in the position applied for, such persons are among the most qualified candidates for the position, and all other factors in accordance with Executive Order 1-6.

SALARY INFORMATION
$16.36 - $25.00 Hourly
