X-Ray Technologist II
Operates X-ray equipment: evaluates exam for technical quality and completeness; prepares procedure room, equipment, supplies and medications, and assists physicians in radiologic examinations. Provides patient services using imaging modalities. Provides necessary documentation for patient tracking, billing, and film tracking.
Performs a variety of radiologic procedures including General Radiography and crossed trained to another modality, either CT or MRI, within Diagnostic Imaging. Performs these imaging procedures, while following patient safety protocols. Functions as the first line interface with patients in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in CQI activities.
Minimum Education and Skills Required for Consideration:
- Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training in Radiologic Technology or equivalent. Experience may substitute for minimum education requirements.
- 2 years in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology, preferred
- AMA approved school of Diagnostic Radiologic Technology .
- CRT (Radiography and Fluoroscopy); ARRT; CPR.
- Must be cross trained into another specialized imaging modality other than basic X-ray. Other modalities are CT and MRI.
