Position Summary
Dr. Elizabeth Budde’s laboratory in the T Cell Therapeutics Research Laboratories (TCTRL) program is a fast-paced lab involved in cutting edge technology, research and clinical immunotherapeutic studies. Dr. Budde’s lab currently has an opening for a Staff Scientist.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the point of contact person for correlative studies for our CAR T cell clinical trials in acute myeloid leukemia.
  • D evelop next generation CARs for clinical translation.
  • C onduct high-dimensional analysis of patient tissues, including multi- parameter flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry and/or gene expression profiling and bioinformatics.
  • I nteract and collaborate with a team of researchers focused on developing T cell therapies in a translational research environment.


Qualifications
Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration:
  • Ph.D. degree with research experience in the fields of immunology, immunotherapy and cancer/acute myeloid leukemia tumor biology.
  • Ability to effectively supervise research associates and students to successfully meet project goals.
  • Ability to collaborate with diverse group of researchers involved in the correlative studies.
  • Ability to design and execute laboratory experiments, critically interpret experimental results, and present data in a clear and concise manner.
  • Ability to participate in the preparation of grant applications and scientific publications.
  • Ability to use discretionary initiative and judgment when handling confidential information.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Experience:
  • A publication record in peer-reviewed scientific journals.
  • Prior postdoctoral experience, with cell biology and animal work.
  • Experience with cellular therapy and/or whole genome sample preparation/analysis.
  • Ability to apply/use bioinformatics for analyses and interpretation of RNA-Seq and Single Cell RNA-Seq data is desirable.
