Postdoctoral Fellow - Natarajan lab

A Postdoctoral Fellow position available in the Department Diabetes Complications and Metabolism to work on a project examining molecular mechanisms by which growth factors and diabetic conditions lead to accelerated vascular complications like diabetic nephropathy.

Manuscript writing and presentations in meetings will be required. Excellent training and facilities for performing state-of-the-art research are available.

Minimum Education and Skills Required for Consideration:

  • The candidate should have a PhD in molecular biology with experience in studying mechanisms of gene regulation/transcription and animal models of diabetes.
  • He/she should have experience in standard and specialized laboratory skills including primary cell culture, quantitative real time PCRs, ChIP assays, transcriptional regulation, cloning, promoter reporter assays, siRNAs, protein assays, basic bioinformatics and mouse models of diabetes.
  • Experience in RNA biology and non-coding RNAs, handling mice, renal cell functions and diabetic nephropathy is particularly desirable.
