Postdoctoral Fellow - Interventional Radiology
The Department of Radiology & Division of Interventional Radiology at the City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center and Medical Center is seeking a full-time Research Associate or Fellow of Clinical Radiology in the Division of Interventional Radiology. The qualified applicant will be hired to support our research and clinical efforts in both prospective and retrospective radiology research studies, image processing (organ and lesion segmentation and tumor measurements), and computer-aided diagnosis. The successful applicant will be involved in analysis of medical records and images and will interact closely with the radiology research section, clinical staff, and collaborative research groups, including the IRB, offices of clinical research and regulatory, statisticians, etc.
Responsibilities include study design, abstract / manuscript intellectual input related to ongoing research in clinical and pre-clinical radiological studies, outcomes analysis, and advanced imaging techniques with the expectation that these endeavors will ultimately lead to the publication of these studies in peer-reviewed journals.
Minimum Education and Skills Required for Consideration:
- Applicants must be U.S. citizens, resident aliens, or nonresident aliens with or eligible to obtain a valid employment-authorizing visa. This appointment is time limited, renewable and offers standard full-time benefits.
- Applicants with an interest in interventional radiology and advanced processing of medical images are encouraged to apply. Prior participation in research studies and data analysis is desirable.
- The candidate should have prior radiology training and/or experience in medical image processing, such as a M.D or Ph.D. degree.
About City of Hope Interventional Radiology
The Interventional Radiology division currently employs 4 full time interventional radiologists and additional physician extenders. Interventional services are performed in two hospital and outpatient facilities. A wide range of interventional procedures, including vascular interventions, cross-sectional IR, and interventional oncology are performed at City of Hope with additional dedicated Interventional Oncology services and clinics provided at the outpatient clinic and consultation center.
