Operating Room (Periop 101) Training Program Clinical Nurse ADN or BSN September 2017 (Varied Shifts)

Description:

City of Hope is offering a Periop 101 Program for experienced nurses who have a BSN or MSN and one to two years minimumexperience in an acute care hospital setting. We are looking for experienced nurseswho are interested in becoming perioperative nurses. The program starts September 11, 2017. Theprogram will include a standardized and comprehensive online education, skills lab and clinical preceptorship that is based on the latest AORN Guidelines for Perioperative Practice.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Two or moreyears Registered Nurseexperience in an Acute Care Hospital -
  • Oncology experience preferred but not required
  • Education: Associate Degree in Nursing required. Bachelors of Science in Nursing or Mastersof Science in Nursing preferred
  • Certifications: BLS, ACLS and PALS (must be obtained before August 15, 2017)
  • License: Current California Registered Nurse License
