Job Title: Operating Room Technician
Position Summary and Key Responsibilities
The Operating Room Technician prepares surgical instruments for intra-operative use, assists surgeons to carry out operative procedure with efficiency and attention to maintaining surgical asepsis. Other duties include assembling used instruments and equipment in an organized manner and delivering them to decontamination area post-procedure.
Minimum Education and Skills Required for Consideration:
Post High School Vocational/Specialized Training
At least one year experience in scrubbing major and minor cases.
American Heart Association BLS certification
Must maintain knowledge in surgical and medical technology through in-services/courses
