Modality Nurse- Clinical Research (FT Days)
The Modality Team Programs involve the administration of special study compounds, and can include radiopharmaceuticals for imaging and/or therapy. The Modality Team Clinical Research Nurse (CRN) is a member of a specific Modality Team and will work under the supervision of the clinical Modality Team Leads. The Modality Team Clinical Research Nurse will collaborative with all the multidisciplinary clinical research Physicians, Research Site Managers (RSM), Clinical Research Coordinators (CRC), pharmacists and radio-pharmacist to care for an assigned population of patients who are enrolled in IRB approved clinical research trials.
Minimum Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing required
Minimum Experience: 2 or more years of experience in oncology, interventional radiology, or nuclear medicine or related fields, if applicable. For areas outside of these fields, 2 or more years of experience required in the practice area. Previous experience as a clinical research RN preferred.
Required Certification/License: Current California RN License, American Heart Association BLS CPR Certification
Preferred Courses/Training: Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) (multiple modules) and can be completed after hire). Human Subjects Protection training (can be completed after hire).Radiation Safety Training (can be completed after hire).
Preferred Certification: OCN Preferred for Clinical Research Nurses in Oncology
Preferred Experience: Nursing with previous oncology or clinical trial experience.
