Job Title: Clinical Nurse III - BSN

Position Summary and Key Responsibilities

Nurses who practice in Medical Oncology Services are characterized by their passion and compassion. Working closely with their physician colleagues, these professionals deliver care, and are called upon to assess if a transfer from outpatient to inpatient status is advisable when intense treatment or observation placement may be required. Inpatient Medical Oncology unit 4 East offers the latest technology to ensure optimal nursing care, and provides telemetry monitoring, acute care and observation for medical oncology, and overflow of surgical and hematology patients. It includes 16 private positive airflow rooms, two private negative airflow rooms, medication room, satellite pharmacy, a patient/family lounge and a conference room.

Minimum Education and Skills Required for Consideration:

ADN (Associate Degree in Nursing) or BSN (Bachelor of Science Degreein Nursing) preferred.

3 years of recent clinical RN experience in Medical Oncology/Telemetry preferred.

Current California RN License.

Current American Heart Association BLS & ACLS required.

CCRN preferred. OCN preferred.
