Laboratory Technical Assistant

The Microbiology LTA position includes the following:

  • Requisition, plate, and process incoming microbiology specimens
  • Clean equipment, glassware, and work areas as assigned
  • Put away supplies
  • Provide support and assistance with a variety of other tasks within the Microbiology laboratory
  • Work as part of the Clinical Pathology department team in fulfilling department objectives

Minimum Education and Skills Required for Consideration:

Minimum Education: High school degree or equivalent

Minimum Experience: Experience processing specimens in a multi-disciplinary clinical microbiology laboratory

Preferred Skills / Abilities: Experience processing specimens in a multi-disciplinary clinical microbiology laboratory

Required Protective Equipment: Lab Coat, Non-Sterile Medical Gloves, N95 respirator, Eye Protection / Goggles, Face Protection
