Position Summary: Creates workplace strategies to effectively and efficiently use both administrative and clinical space. Modifies and executes yearly migration milestones in order to achieve COH’s Master Plan. Guides space use and reallocation to align with organization’s strategic goals. Serves as a member of the Space Planning Committee. Key Responsibilities include: Facilitate strategic conversations to connect COH strategic initiatives with the Migration Planning goals and Master Plan direction to develop future workplace/real estate strategies. Facilitate information gathering activities in the form of surveys, observations, focus groups and workshops to engage with departments and teams to set direction for future work spaces. Synthesize and interpret information, create presentations, develop workplace strategies in alignment with industry and site specific research, trends and culture to both challenge and address COH current and future space needs Maintains and evolves COH space usage and allocation guidelines Acts as representative for space requestors at monthly Space Planning Committee meetings. Evaluates client and customer requirements and makes appropriate design recommendations. Evaluates space, furniture and equipment requirements and makes design recommendations. Reviews regulatory and building code requirements for proposed projects. Provides project cost estimates and related financial information. Obtains appropriate internal and external project approvals. Provides scope of work and specifications, solicits bids, and conducts “walk-throughs” with contractors and vendors. Recommends and selects vendors and contractors. Manages project implementation and customer service process. Plans, coordinates and schedules individual and department moves and provides support to ensure a smooth transition during the relocation process. Conducts on-site department meetings to effectively and efficiently plan for all relocations and installations. Organizes “kick-off” and ongoing “all-hands” meetings to implement relocations and installations. Expedites delivery and occupancy of completed projects. Conducts post-occupancy evaluations and responds to customer service requests. Qualifications Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration : Associate’s degree or equivalent; experience may substitute. 2 years relevant experience in a planning, design, and/or architecture environment. Ability to read, understand and evaluate construction documents and specifications. Understanding of architectural, engineering, construction and computer terms. Foster and promote a positive image and professional appearance. Req. Certification/Licensure : Current CA driver's license and a good driving record for insurance purposes. Basic education, experience and skills preferred for consideration : Bachelors or Master’s Degree. Strong working knowledge of current version of AutoCAD software.
