Position Summary:
This position coordinates and supports the development, implementation and tracking of clinical and research education training activities and projects for the Department of Supportive Care Medicine research team in clinical, translational, and supportive care science. Facilitate trainings for campus, clinical network and for external community providers. Manage instructional design and development of trainings. Serve as administrators that create and maintain databases, and perform educational research. Position is the functional expert for records, accreditation of continuing education activities, and provides technical knowledge for learning management/registration system requirements and documentation. Work closely with several technical and service-oriented departments to manage projects, and is responsible for developing marketing campaigns, curating and creating content, tracking, reporting and optimizing efforts in social channels for trainings. Helps support the research team, including principal investigators (PIs) and collaborating investigators and staff, collaborative efforts to meet project timelines. Position has a high level of autonomy, collaborates with contributors across the organization, as well as collaborators from other institutions, and requires excellent organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail, self-motivation and creativity.
Key Responsibilities include:
Training and Project Management
- Develop and implement trainings (including content) in collaboration with program contributors.
- Serves as liaison with relevant committees/task forces, ensuring follow up as necessary. Assure ongoing communication with faculty and trainees on priorities and responsibilities. Serve as problem solver and facilitator with and among technical collaborators, course leaders and faculty.
- Helps develop, design and conduct training projects according to plan, including planning new policies and procedures, adapting existing procedures to the needs of the project, and making contributions to methodology.
- Coordinate individual lectures with faculty.
- Manage accreditation requirements for trainings within the program.
Technology and Marketing
- Assist with learning management/registration systems and database development.
- Work with faculty to assure that curricula content and assignments are created and assigned before course implementation within systems.
- Facilitate the transfer of course content to web-based versions for ease of use by trainees and design training curricula in systems and identify duplications in course content, if any.
- Assist with website development and maintenance regarding trainings.
- Perform additional duties as necessary for the development and implementation of trainings.
Research Analytics
- Perform education research (e.g., data collection and analyses, evaluations, trainee performance and satisfaction, track trainees during training, record completion of program requirements; generate certificates of completion/transcripts, etc).
- Prepares surveys, internal and external required data and research findings for grant reporting and management.
- Transcribes and codes data; assists with developing data collection tools; and manages data files.
- Responsible in assisting with the development, coordination and implementation of various research activities and projects associated with the submission and implementation of research grants.
- Assists in the submission of IRB protocols if needed.
Operations
- Process contracts, purchase orders, and invoices, working with vendors, Contract Management, Legal, and Operations.
- Maintain professional growth, certifications and development through seminars and workshops as appropriate.
- Provides administrative support for daily research operations.
- Bachelor's Degree.
- Five years working in an educational environment.
- Experience in education research or clinical research environment.
